Lot 12 CC 24 651 BC Cock Hereman Ceusters direct off imports and has some of the best of the Hereman Ceusters from Eijerkamp Stud
Sire: NL 18 1628364 BC Cock ‘Doncaster 2000’ purchased for $4,800 from Ken Marshall and was the highest price cock bird in his Liverpool Auction 2022. He asked his UK pigeon agent Mark Cowell to travel to this Eijerkamp auction at the Doncaster racecourse in November 2017. The Eijerkamps rarely sell their best birds in the UK at open auction. Mark handled every bird in this auction. Unanimous opinion was that this grandson of the famous breeding icon Thorwald (direct son of Olympiade 003) and Rossi was the most outstanding specimen in this whole sale. As such, this bird was in great demand and was finally purchased for 2000 GBP, hence the name ‘Doncaster 2000’. As you are aware, Rossi, the great Ceuster icon is now deceased. This cock bird has it all… World class pedigree, magnificent in the hand, robust, strong and silky feather, with a stunning eye. In addition, this cock has the most remarkable character and nature. He holds the top perch and struts all day, full of himself, and why not?! with such a royal pedigree. I particularly suggest you look at his mother Roos NL13 1801175. This is famous breeding pigeon in the Eijerkamp loft. Indeed I handled her grandmother Schallie Euro NL08 (now deceased) when I visited Eijerkamp in 2016. Wow, a perfect slate hen in the hand. It is a true privilege to have enjoyed such a bird as ‘Doncaster 2000’ in my breeding loft.
Dam NL18 5159818 BB Hen ‘Iselota’ purchased for $5,100 from Ken Marshall and was the highest price bird in his Liverpool Auction 2022. This is a truly magnificent hen in her prime, which under normal circumstances he would never sell. It took me three years to source this hen and bring her into the country. In my opinion her pedigree is the best of the best, of the Hereman Ceuster family. However her genes remain in my loft through her children. It is highly possible that hens of this calibre will never be imported into this country in the future, due to rampant bird flu through Europe, negating all present importing protocols. In my opinion, Iselota is a true foundation breeding hen of rare value. Note the magnificent pixelated violet eye, which is the hallmark of a super Ceuster breeding hen.
